| Third Thursday is back! The community comes together on Thursday, May 15th from 6 - 9 pm for an evening of fun in Hollywood, with live music, trivia contests, treats and fun activities like storytelling for kids. Third Thursday is bringing the community together with a Beach Party for July 19. "We wanted to get people out to enjoy the beautiful summer evenings, strolling through our newly minted streets in Hollywood," said Diane Irvine, a Third Thursday organizer. "And we are going to have music in the stores and out on the sidewalks for folks to enjoy." Third Thursday businesses will be giving out free Third Thursday beach balls, as well as treats for shoppers. People can also play "Beach Party Trivia" that night from 6 to 9 pm. Rachelle Markley is the neighborhood trivia master. "I am busy coming up with questions for you, questions you may love, and just a few that you may hate!" She constantly scours the internet, newspapers, books and magazines for trivia questions for Third Thursday. The questions focus on movie trivia, to tie in with the Hollywood Theatre, a central part of the neighborhood. "This month I am looking for beach movie factoids. It could be anything from Beach Blanket Bingo to Blue Crush. But everyone has a shot at getting the questions right."
